My name is Cheri Davis. I grew up in Utopia, TX. Started Playdays at a fairly young age. My Dad, Austin "AKA" Hotshot Schaefer, passed his love of horses on to me! It didn't take too much begging for this little girl to get what she wanted, a horse!!
My Dad spent hours in the pasture glued to his stop-watch clocking me on the barrels, poles and straights. Always full of excitement and encouragement!
The picture above is of my first Grand Entry at a Bull Riding in Utopia, TX. My horse was scared to death of that flag but Dad and I worked the whole Day before getting her to accept it!! Her name alone says it all, "Spooky"!!
Now I am married with 2 boys and live in Junction, TX. My little cowboys also share the love for horses! My youngest, Walker, rode my 2 yr. old filly bareback as we lead him around. "She has only had one short ride on her so far!!" It hasn't taken much for these little boys to get what they want either, a horse!!

Thanks to my Husband, Greg, I have been able to get into the horse business and I am going on my third year of selling horses. I LOVE IT! I take horses in on consignment and sometimes have a few of my own for sale as well! I have a partner up in North Texas where most of the horses are located.
I have bought several horses from different "horse traders", and each time I got burned BAD!! After a $7000 loss in just 3 short years from buying horses I decided to give those people some competition!! So, that is why I do what I do! We try to match a horse with the rider as best we can. We are able to have several horses available for showing on the day you come so you make sure that you get the one you feel most comfortable with.
